I am so excited to announce that the first chapter of my novel Flytrap is the Silver Winner for the Storytrade Awards First Look Prize! It has been awarded in the Romance category, and was judged based on hook, craft and originality.
This is the first time my humble little writings have gotten this kind of recognition, and I can’t describe the feeling well. At first I thought, “Really?” I had to read the email over a few times before I could truly believe it. And then, once it had sunk in, I rushed back to my desk to write more, invigorated by the idea that anyone was interested in what I had to say.
